All lessons take place in person, in my studio at 33 rue Mathurin Regnier, 75015 Paris. The nearest metro is Volontaires (line 12), and the studio is easy to reach from across the arrondissement - Vaugirard, Convention, Pasteur, Sevres-Lecourbe, Cambronne and Montparnasse are all close by. Why in person only? Because piano is physical. Touch, posture, the weight of the arm, the exact angle of the wrist - these things are far easier to feel and correct when we share the same room and the same instrument. In-person lessons simply progress faster.

What a typical lesson looks like

We usually begin by checking in on the week: what you practised, what felt good, what felt stuck. Then we work on technique and on your current pieces, breaking down the hard passages into small, achievable steps. I demonstrate at the piano, you try, we adjust together. By the end of the lesson you leave with a clear, realistic plan for the days ahead - never a vague "just practise more".

Your teacher

I am Anthony Mounier, a pianist and piano teacher based in Paris. I trained at the Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional (CRR) of Rueil-Malmaison, where I earned my DEM (Diplome d'Etudes Musicales), and I have been teaching for two years, including with the Academie lyrique run by Adeline Dumont Andreas. Alongside teaching I perform - notably at the Abbaye de Royaumont as part of the Festival des Fievres Musicales 2026 - and I also work in cabaret and French chanson, including a duo with Aude Fy. That mix of classical training and stage experience shapes the way I teach: rigorous about the fundamentals, but always focused on the joy of actually making music.
